ART

Something in my genetics makes me choose curves. I can’t quite explain it, but they attract me. If there is a choice between something with curves and colour or straight lines - I will always choose the curves, I will always choose colour.  If you were to look through my closet, you’d find no stripes or boring lines. I am especially fond of the colour turquoise. It is a favourite of mine and my space and art often reflect my penchant for vibrancy and fluidity.

I love the feel of using pen and pencil on paper, and seeing all the coloured pencils laid out on the table.  And yes, my pencils are usually arranged by colour, because it makes me happy. I love art supply stores where everything is presented in rainbows of colour and there are stacks of brand new paper and canvases waiting to be filled with creativity and inspiration.

Art has always been a big part of my life, most of my work was done with pen and ink and coloured pencil, however I have embraced technology out of neccesity. Living in a small travel trailer at Telegraph Cove has some space limitations. I am using an iPad with apple pencil and software that lets me draw on the surface of the iPad, similar to drawing on paper.
