PHOTOGRAPHY
When my daughter was quite young she asked me whether I loved her or my camera more. I remember it well, and of course I always love her much, much more than anything, but I found her observation interesting, as I do tend to keep my camera quite close.
You won't see a lot of landscape photos in my portfolio, as I prefer closer, more focused shots. Wide shots tend to be too "messy" for my taste, too many opposing colours, and just too many things going on. I prefer to focus on one subject, and really explore the shapes and the colour.
I really enjoy taking photographs of nature and the natural world; however, I also have a fondness for more industrial aspects of our world like rusty metal, shiny cars and certain architecture.
It has been an interesting process to go through tens of thousands of photos and choose the few that I have featured here. Bringing back all those memories of people and places I visited has been a fun exercise. Not only to remember past experiences, but also to consider where I want to go in the future.
